Getting Started with Email Marketing

Email marketing is another marketing channel for your business where you can collect and send marketing emails to your existing and prospective customers in various different ways. A global favourite that is easy to use has to be Mailchimp. For our business we use Zoho-Campaign which is similar, but for Ready Made Mentor subscribers who have a Ready Made Store or would like to purchase one, we recommend Mailchimp.

Mailchimp is an all-in-one marketing platform that helps you manage and talk to your clients, customers, and other interested parties. Our approach to marketing focuses on healthy contact management practices, beautifully designed campaigns, and powerful data analysis. We’re here to help you become an expert marketer.

Search Engine Advertising

It’s important to stay abreast with all things search engine. I subscribe to this information portal so as to keep informed and mostly to learn about the topic. You may want to do the same. Here you will find lots of free information for beginners. Remember that as a business owner you need not be doing everything yourself, however, you need to know what impacts your business and enough information about the necessary tools to grow your business so that when you hire a ‘specialist’ to assist you in a certain area, you know exactly what they need to be doing and how to recognise when it’s not getting done properly.

Product Listings

See your product listings as dynamic and not static. There are so many elements that make up a product and so much can change in a short period of time. Keeping listings up to date is another #1 priority at all times because if your information and price is incorrect, the customer (rightly so) will hold you to the product information displayed and the price offered. If you have a mental ‘niggle’ about a product listing, see to it immediately or rest assured that a client will buy it and then you have to fix a tricky situation. If you have an inbound product feed then set it to refresh every 12 – 24 hours or manually if you have too. We will cover allot of specifics relating to listings and content pages in the weeks ahead.
