Remember that clients emailing you are hot leads, they want to spend money.

So the sooner you respond the more likely you are to secure the sale and not lose them to a competitor who is online to assist them.

I read & hear a lot of fear from aspiring entrepreneurs, that our market is saturated so why make the effort?

The truth is that most industries/markets are saturated, however, customer service (along with a good quality product/service) is what sustains and secures client loyalty for many years.

Here in South Africa we lack exceptional customer service, so give your clients service excellence and you’ll have them for life.

One of the greatest success tips I’ve ever learnt has to be consistency and with consistency one must also practice patience (with yourself mostly). I love the saying that 10,000 hours makes you a master. Case studies show that the largest portion of successful people are not naturally talented at what they do, they are consistent with what they do.

Remember to track your shipments daily. Don’t delay in dealing with delays and issues that arise. Hurry things along with suppliers/couriers before your customers start chasing you …

Remember to check and fulfil orders received from other market places where your products are being bought.

Perhaps you don’t receive notification of a new order being placed, so you’ll have to login to check daily.

If your products are not on any other platform(s) apart from your own, I will cover this in the weeks ahead via our Business Development broadcast topic.

Always, aim to process and send all orders within 24 hours. Never leave customers waiting otherwise they’ll go elsewhere for future purchases.
