You would have noticed by now that Instagram does not have an option for customers to leave reviews.

Perhaps this is a good thing because all too often unhappy customers, will leave a poor review first before even advising you of the situation.

I find this in particular with Facebook recommendations/reviews. Anyway so we are finding that IG has the type of customer that we want to buy our experiences and they are completely different to the customer on Facebook.

I had an idea to screen shot an assortment of 5 star reviews from our Google My Business Page and upload them to IG to be found within the ‘story highlight’ options.

We now have 25+ 5 star reviews from google within this menu option so that prospective customers can validate that we are who we say we are.

If you have enough reviews, eventually your customers will be doing all the advertising for you and then you can spend your marketing budget on finding more of the right influencers for your brand to continue growing your virtual footprint.

This is the strategy I am using for my business and its working. Every business, product and service is unique, just like our thumb prints.

What works for my business may not work for yours. One has to experiment all of the time. What worked 3 years ago, is not likely to be working now.

Test, test and test again. Remember to practice agility at all times.
